NFC and BSC are now ONE club!

Merger

The boards of directors for Nebraska Futbol Club (NFC) and Bellevue Soccer Club (BSC) are pleased to announce that the two youth soccer clubs have merged effective immediately.

With the strength of NFC’s competitive programs (Select & Academy) combined with BSC’s well-established youth soccer programs (Micro, Recreational & TOPS), our new organization will provide opportunities for players of all ages, genders and skill level.

Players and families will benefit from the additional playing opportunities, experienced coaching, fields and facilities, and experienced leadership from both clubs.

NFC and BSC share common values, with an emphasis on diversity, affordability and providing a family-environment that differentiates us from other local, competitive youth soccer organizations. The opportunity to combine and serve a similar geographic area will allow BSC-NFC to better serve our members.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

1.  Why are the two clubs merging?

Nebraska Futbol Club (NFC) and Bellevue Soccer Club (BSC) share common values, with an emphasis on diversity, affordability and providing a family-environment that differentiates us from other local, competitive youth soccer organizations. The opportunity to combine and serve a similar geographic area will allow BSC-NFC to better serve our members.

Players and families will benefit from the additional developmental pathways, experienced coaching, fields and facilities and the experienced leadership of a full service club.

2.  What will the newly merged club be called?

For the 2021-2022 year, the combined club will be registered through the Nebraska State Soccer Association under the Bellevue Soccer Club banner.  BSC will serve as the pathway for micro, recreational, adult and TOPS programs.  NFC will serve as the pathway for competitive boys and girls soccer through our Academy and Select programs. The name and branding of the combined club will be reviewed during the 2021-2022 soccer year.

3.  What will the newly merged club wear?

In most cases, teams will continue to wear their existing uniforms. This will be addressed on a program by program basis for Academy & Select teams. New uniforms will be designed for the 2022-2023 soccer year.

4.  Who will be leading the club?

The NFC and BSC Boards of Directors were combined to best represent the needs, issues and concerns of both clubs.  Please refer to the Directors and Staff portion of our website for current personnel.

5.  How do you plan to communicate with membership?

We will continue to use BSC and NFC websites, social media and email systems to pass on information to our members. The BSC website, registration system and social media accounts will be the primary sources of information after the tryout and registration period in June 2021.

6.  How will this impact me and my child?

One of the goals of this merger is to make the transition as seamless as possible so that parents and children continue to enjoy their soccer experience. Other than minor changes such as updated websites and registration software, the expectation is that families will enjoy the additional opportunities to utilize topnotch fields and facilities and gain even more access to highly skilled and licensed coaching staff.  Do not hesitate to contact us with any issue or concern (see Director & Staff page for contact emails)

7.  Will there be coaching changes for select U11-U19?

We are fortunate to have an impressive lineup of loyal coaches. There will be minimal changes to coaching assignments as a result of the merger. Staffing announcements will be announced on our website soon.
