The BSC Micro and Super Micro programs are designed for players born in 2019, 2020, and 2021. The program focuses on an introduction to the game of soccer through fun and play. The emphasis at this age is on the individual player and the skills necessary to control and manipulate the ball. Additionally, players are exposed to a variety of essential soccer skills and a love of the game by playing fun activities in small groups supervised by club trainers. All training sessions conform to an established curriculum established by the Micro Director. Teams are co-ed.
Micro and Super Micro have two seasons each year, in the fall and spring. Each season is six (6) weeks long. During the season, players have a one 45-minute session each week, normally on Saturday. Each session is composed of 30 minutes of fun activities that introduce the basic concepts of soccer followed by 15 minutes of small-sided game play. Sessions are conducted by club training staff. All sessions are at BSC’s Walters Soccer Complex.
This Fall we will again offer both a Thursday Night and Saturday Morning session so you may choose the best time for you.
The Saturday Morning Session will start on September 7th and will run for at least six (6) weeks through October. Times will be announced after registrations are finalized and teams are formed. In the past session times have been 9:30 - 10:30, and 10:30 - 11:30.
The Thursday Night Session will start on September 5th and will run for at least six (6) weeks through October. Thursday Night times will be 5:30 - 6:30.
The $80 registration fee for the Micro and Super Micro program includes all in-season training, administrative costs, and training equipment; our BSC t-shirt costs an additional $12. If you have a t-shirt from a previous session you can use that t-shirt and select the "no-shirt" option on the registration page. Players are expected to have their own shin guards and size 3 ball.
